Mission Statement
ARCH-Angels seeks to promote Catholic Family Life by providing a support group for families that opt to educate their children at home. It is our firm belief that Homeschooling is a vibrant, positive and challenging educational alternative. Homeschooling allows parents the opportunity to instill The Truths of our Catholic faith as the base of knowledge from which all other learning flows.
The foundation and guiding principle of all ARCH-Angels functions and activities is its fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, particularly to the pope, who as successor to St. Peter, is the universal teacher in matters of faith and morals.
ARCH-Angels consecrates all its activities to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and seeks her guidance, protection and intercession in all it's endeavors.
ARCH-Angels membership is open to families of all faiths interested in Homeschooling, with the understanding that all teachings will be based on Catholic doctrine.
Our Goals
- To promote Catholic Homeschooling Resources:
- There is an abundance of non-Catholic materials, curricula and resources for Homeschoolers and materials that are contrary to Catholic teaching. In order to make our Homeschooling truly Catholic there is a great need to find authentic Catholic materials and resources. ARCH-Angels will provide a forum within it’s monthly meetings to discuss, share and evaluate curricula, books and resources, as well as ideas and questions
- Provide personal support and encouragement by:
- Establishing a network of parents dedicated to encourage each other and build each other up in the face of a complex and difficult task.
- Assisting one another through practical suggestions and ideas on how to lighten the load in our daily struggles (i.e. setting goals, planning, organizational hints, avoiding burnout, and discipline).
- Provide communication through newsletters, meetings, phone chains and email.
- To seek a deeper learning and living out the Catholic faith by:
- Promoting the Universal Catechism as the ultimate resource for authentic Catholic teachings
- Promoting the traditions and history of the church (i.e. Papacy, Scripture & Tradition, Blessed Mother, saints, sacraments, salvation by faith and works).
- Promoting Church teachings on moral issues (i.e. abortion, sexuality, euthanasia and contraception).
- Cultivating a true devotion to Mary and the saints.
- Promoting family prayers (i.e. rosary, novenas, church devotions, scripture study).
- Encouraging frequent attendance at mass, reconciliation and perpetual adoration.
- Providing spiritually oriented group activities (i.e. group mass, retreats rosaries and prayer).
- To establish an Intimate community of families whose goal is:
- To develop a passionate love for Christ.
- To be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
- Loyalty to the Pope and the Magesterium of the Church.
- To become leaven within the community.
Consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary
